After 2 years of planning I’m finally writing in a blog!! I think I made this account a year ago, so here are my excuses for not writing;  1. I forgot all about it  2. When I finally remembered- I had forgotten the username and the password- how about that? then today I wanted to start a brand new one, so spent about 2 hours thinking of a “cool” name for my username and finally after I came up with one, they said that I’ve used this email address before-Then I got the bright idea of looking at my inbox -then I found my old user name and password- WHAT A WASTE OF TIME Here’s an really inspirational quote from Steve Jobs; Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma – which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary” Steve JobsCo-Founder and CEO of Apple Computer Nice isn’t it? Good for me!  😛 So here I am writing my very first post. I really don’t know what I’m going to write. Basically I’m writing random thoughts that come to my head. I really need to change my username to “random thoughts” or something similar.I really wish I had the opportunity to write yesterday- my CIMA tutor gave us a good point to ponder “don’t try to do everything at once- focus on your core competence”. I was so full of ideas then, but I’ve forgotten what they were now. All the inspiration is lost. It was a good advice to give to a person like me who’s studying two very different fields- I don’t know where I’ll end up and I have to find what my core competence is or I’ll be in big trouble, SOON. Moving on to other things- today so far heard of 2 bomb attacks from the LTTE. Around 30 innocent bus commutes were killed from the blast near Buttala(60 odd people injured). The terrorists had even fired at the bus after the bomb blast & whist on their way back to wherever they came from they had shot some more innocent farmers in a field. These terrorists want to kill as much sinhalese as possible given the opportunity. My mother called just now and said it’s better for me to stay at home as much as possible because we don’t know where the next bomb will go off. But I think the southern province is at more risk than the Colombo area,so I’m more worried about my parents and relatives in the southern province.  Anyway, I’ve got to get back to my research topic searching and documenting my idea. That was the whole objective of my coming home, so I’m not even supposed to be blogging!
